The Ship was called the Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes or Our Lady of Mercy, a spanish naval frigate that was carrying silver, gold, vicuna, cinnamon and quinoa from South America to Cadiz when it was sunk off of the coast of Portugal during the battle of Cape Santa Maria.
